Do you like (or love!) to read, but it just does not fit into your already packed schedule? I enjoy reading, but I haven’t read an entire book in years now. There’s just too many things that are higher on my priority list each day. And, also, reading puts me to sleep so if I do sit down to read it’s, sadly, kind of hopeless from the start!
There are so many fantastic books out there that encourage the hearts of mamas and thanks to another brilliant app you can read or LISTEN (hallelujah!) to them for free! You have got to check out the Hoopla App. Here’s how it works: You sign up with your library card and can instantly borrow eBooks (and more) from your local library. Hello listening to audio books while you do the dishes, fold the laundry or workout! Titles are automatically removed & returned from your device when the lending period is up. Talk about convenient!
If you’d love to find some books for moms here are a few to get you started:
Being There by Erica Komisar LCSW
Craving Connection from the (in)courage community
Desperate by Sarah Mae & Sally Clarkson
Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist
The Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson
Unseen by Sara Hagerty
The following are not books but they are another a great way to breathe in encouragement while you’re washing the dishes! Some podcasts that I recommend:
*A huge shout-out to Alicia for introducing me to Hoopla and also for a lot of the book recommendations! =]
